The 5th Annual DAY FOR WOMEN is happening this April!

"MUSIC, LIKE WATER, REFRESHES OUR SOULS"

Nancy and I have prepared a unique day for you this year.
Come early for some gentle stretches and quiet meditation time.
Watch or participate.
Either way you'll feel refreshed and ready for the rest of the day.

Brenda McMorrow will then lead us through a KIRTAN.
If you've never been to a KIRTAN, come with eyes to see and ears to hear.

Enjoy lunch with us - meet new and old friends.

After lunch, join in as the Phoenix and Chicas Con Congas entertain you with some lively rhythms. A full day of music... blissful, refreshing, invigorating.

All of this for only $50.00 per person.... a great gift for your best friend, your sister, your aunt, your niece, your mom.

Our proceeds this year will go to a village in Burkina Fosa,Africa where they will install a water system.

Go to the website for more information.
Contact Nancy or Penny for tickets, reserved seating, or more information.

The Willows Golf Club (our location for the day) is newly expanded/renovated. We're looking forward to enjoying our day in their new banquet room.

KITEFLYING IN SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS

The picture on the left really is me, a novice stunt kiteflier learning how to hold on to a Beetle - a beginner's stunt kite. My main goal this year was to learn how to 'steer' one of those kites with two strings. So far, after some lessons from professional kite fliers, I've learned how to launch the kite, how to let it climb up into the power window, how to steer it from left to right and from right to left, how to feel the wind (kind of), and how to crash.

The picture on the right is me,still very much the novice stunt kiteflier learning how to hold on to the Beetle after it has crashed. I've got the crashing part mastered - the rest maybe not yet.

But it is great fun and kiters are great people. Thanks to Billy and Jimmy and Chris and Sue for being patient with me and to Gary for being my go-fer every time I crash. PS - The B&S Kite Store is where I have purchased my kites.

WEEKLY STARGAZING TIPS from STARDATE ONLINE

The nights are cool now - even down south here in Texas - but the skies are clear and bright.
Its a great time to bundle up, go out and just get lost in the vastness of our universe.

Go to Stardate Online for the whole month of viewing notes.

Time to go... its late and morning comes quick.
I liked this thinker so much (it was at the bottom of the last newsletter) that I wanted to print it again....

"What has to happen over the next 90 days for me to feel that this was the best three months of my life?"
